5. The Complexities of God’s Creation Is One of the Reasons to Believe in God
And how can the graven images in Mt Rushmore prove God’s existence?
Many are familiar with the intricately carved head statues of four US presidents on Mount Rushmore.
Such exquisite work of art was made by a highly skilled sculptor, whose artistic mastery was honed to perfection by repetitive, painstaking practice of the craft.
A logical person would never be convinced that those engraved images could come into being by chance, that strong wind or erosion fashioned them into flawlessly chiseled sculptures.
Knowing how herculean of a task it is for any sculptor to undertake such a mammoth project, anyone will find it foolish to assume that these structures can be carved perfectly in great detail by random coincidence. And yet, we can easily dismiss that human beings were made by chance, a freak of nature.
But which is more difficult to bring into being? The graven images that are just made of granite? Or human beings whose physical and mental attributes are far more complex to create than those inanimate sculptures?
