Faith

Examples of God’s grace in our everyday life are like raindrops on a parched land– the undeserved gifts from God that are provided upon those whom He has chosen as recipients of His unconditional generosity.

For He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:45

Throughout the Bible, God’s abiding grace is apparent in the lives of His people, especially among His servants like David, Moses, and the apostle Paul, among others.

And even today, we can see God’s grace at work in our day to day life— for our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

As it’s written: “For I am the Lord, I do not change” Malachi 3:6

Examples of God’s Grace in Everyday Life

1. The Gift of Friendship

Even when we deviate from God’s path, the Lord is still gracious enough to send us people who encourage us to bounce back after a big fall. Despite our disobedience, God still surrounds us with good-hearted friends who provide us with sound advice and help us rise again after a fall.

The Almighty will not, however, spare us of the consequences of our offenses. Nevertheless, He will make sure that we will not be on our own as we go through His searing discipline.

2. The Opportunity to Connect With God Despite Our Moral Failings

Conflict can result in estrangements, creating emotional distance from loved ones or people with whom we have a disagreement. Nonetheless, with God, we are still afforded the privilege of approaching His presence and seeking forgiveness. Thus, we are still given the grace to experience His peace as long as we are truly remorseful of our sins.

“For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”  2 Chronicles 30:9

3. The Holy Spirit Helps Us Withstand Temptations

In moments of weakness, the Holy Spirit enables us to overcome the natural inclination of our flesh once we implore His help– an example of God’s abiding grace in our daily walk with Him.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Romans 8:26

And in Titus 2:11–14

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

4. Prayers Are Still Answered Even If Our Faith Is As Small As a Mustard Seed.

Let us be reminded of what Jesus said about having faith as tiny as that of a mustard seed. We will realize that no matter how imperfect our faith is, God can still work in our favor out of the kindness of His heart— an example of God’s abounding grace.

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

God also does wonderful things for us that we may not even be aware of because they’re hidden from view. The love God holds for His children is so profound and truly remarkable that He continually works on our behalf even behind the scene.

As it’s written:

“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6 KJV
